Residential Spaces

Curtis Hall features mostly traditional residence hall double bedrooms, with the exception of a small number of suites for sophomores. Every floor has a lounge or common space, and laundry machines are located in the basement. Curtis Hall's ground floor is also home to Haven. The first floor of Curtis has a small kitchen with scheduled open hours available for students to use and shared by all the residents of the building.

Drake Hall features a variety of room types, though most are traditional residence hall doubles. There are a small number of suites available to sophomores in which there are single and double rooms. Every floor has a lounge or common space, and laundry machines are located in the basement. There is a shared kitchen on the first floor of the building with scheduled open hours. The Office of Residential Life is also located in Drake Hall, accessible via a separate entrance.

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ the Namesake

A pioneer among students at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, Diane Ciccone ’74, P’10 was one of the first 132 women to enroll at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, and one of the 13 women of color in that class. Diane Ciccone ’74, P’10 was one of the 13 women of color in the first class of women to enter ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. After graduating in 1974, she earned her JD from Hofstra University in 1977, and she has built a career in law and journalism. She has mentored generations of undergraduates via the Sister2Sister program and career services. A founding member of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Alumni of Color organization, she is a role model of warmth, inclusion, and dedicated mentorship.

Vivid, bold beams of light cut through the darkness, creating 13 rays that suggest Diane Ciccone’s revealing and enlightening work, both as an author and attorney. A series of open books spanning the top of the crest represents her personal history, academic journey, and shared wisdom.
