²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Leadership tradition, 200 years in the making, was on full display last weekend as alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends gathered for a series of celebratory events on campus.

Antonio Delgado ’99, U.S. Representative for the 19th Congressional District, will deliver the commencement address to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University’s Class of 2019 on May 19, 2019.

Trustee Emeritus Robert Hung Ngai Ho ’56, H’11 has confirmed a $15 million gift to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University to establish the Robert Hung Ngai Ho Mind, Brain, and Behavior Initiative.

Randy Fuller, Russell ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Distinguished University Professor of biology and environmental studies, has received the 2019 Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS).

Robert H.N. Ho ’56, H’11 has been appointed Member to the Order of Canada (C.M.), one of that country’s highest civilian honors.

Each year, endowed academic chairs and professorships provide resources that support the work of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ faculty members across campus. ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Board of Trustees approved a new slate of endowed chairholders during its autumn meeting, September 28–29.

Daniel B. Hurwitz ’86, P’17,’20, current Chair of the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Board of Trustees, has announced that he will step down from his chairmanship, effective May 4, 2019, in response to increased professional obligations.

Steve Fabiani, vice president and chief information officer, has accepted the position of vice president for digital innovation and technology at Hofstra University. He will take up his new role later this semester.

Alumni, parents, and friends streamed into the Village of Hamilton by the thousands on Friday, Sept. 21, joining the campus community for ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s three-day Bicentennial Kickoff Celebration. They were greeted by banners hailing ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ at 200 Years and a calendar packed with special events.
