The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) announced that Prof. Beth Parks will assume the position of Editor for the American Journal of Physics (AJP) September 1, 2020. Prof. Parks is the first female editor of the journal.
On March 2, 2021, Galvez and collaborator Behzad Khajavi from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton were granted a patent for a new technology that helps decode light-encoded information on the receiving end. This is the first patent assigned to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.
