The National Science Foundation has granted ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University $500,000 to upgrade its high-performance computing cluster, accelerating research and undergraduate education in ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s STEM departments and beyond.

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ computer science professors discuss topics ranging from the most basic questions about artificial intelligence to the latest developments in the field.

Despite the dire warnings that artificial intelligence will create major disruptions to the economy, higher education, and society as a whole, AI expert Avi Goldfarb remains optimistic about its potential.

In the summers of 2019 and 2020, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University professors Krista Ingram and Ahmet Ay set course for Casco Bay, Maine, with student researchers Lauren Horstmyer ’22 and Hailey Orff ’24. Together, they captured thousands of images of harbor seals for SealNet.
